THE VENUE
Every now and then when we see amazing colonial architecture like this on TV that gives us a real sense of WOW we wish if ever we could spend a weekend there. This character filled lifestyle property offering the peace of the past and a wonderful space of the present to reflect on life and where it is taking us. Set back from the road and nestled amongst manicured gardens, this venue of ornate cornices, coffered ceilings, timber floors, quality window furnishings, light fittings and with its beautiful rural surroundings is an absolute delight that naturally calls us to reflect.
The large sized farm house, a real charm of the old world, sits on 4 acres providing an idle location for the entrenched by the corporate world yearning for a simple, slower lifestyle in the country to finish the year on a good note. It is a destination where people can feel nurtured and relaxed taking time slowly and literally smell the country, eat in the garden and chat quietly under the starry sky of the warm evenings.
Just 3 min drive to the end of the road and another 5 min walk through the National Park that becomes all the more magical with the promise of the ocean you can hear and smell before actually seeing it. The deserted beach provides an amazing location to practice yoga and meditation by the sunset or sunrise.
ACCOMMODATION: There are 2 options –
1. The house has 5 spacious double bedrooms with shared bathrooms plus a self-contained bungalow with en-suite. Rooms can have single or double occupancy (No twin share). Towels, bed sheets, and blankets are included.
2. Camping. BYO Tent, bedding etc. The perfect budget option and also great if you'd prefer your own room. The private landscaped yard with an apron of lush lawns provides plenty of space for camping around the house. People in rooms and tents use the same bathrooms that are cleaned daily.
Some benefits of camping:
You build your own house and create you own warmth. Sleeping close to the ground we tune into mother Earth's energy and we sleep better and wake recharged. Camping re-sets our biological clock. Getting out of the bed provided comfort zone makes us more creative and better problem solvers. Facing new challenges and experiences that we don't deal with on the daily basis keeps our brain healthy. Being that close to (we may say one with) nature increases serotonin in the body which in return improves mood. Nature provides the perfect soundtrack for time out, meditation and mindfulness. In the Age of Anxiety, the glue that sticks us back together has to be 'all things green'. Men's heart soften close to nature.
